A piece of media that I find quite influential would be the movie, legally blonde. I think this is inspirational because it shows the way that a girl turns her life completely around. It shows how she was living her life as a very stereotypical girl in college studying fashion and being treated like she is dumb. She then gets dumped by her boyfriend who says he wants someone smarter which changes her views on everything. She then begins to work hard and studies to make sure she able to get into Harvard university to study law. To no surprise to her she gets in and begins to attend. When she first gets there everyone is confused as they see her as a stereotypical dumb blonde who shouldn’t be at Harvard law. Throughout her time there she is given a lot of obstacles and gets told about how she shouldn’t be there. After being there a while, she is taken to her first court case where she wins it for her client. By the end of the film she is a graduated law student. I think this is impactful because it shows the way that she went against the stereotypes that everyone threw at her and decided to go to law school and prove to everyone that she a lot more than just your typical ‘dumb blonde’. I really like the film because of the way it shows growth in the character and the way she ignores the things being said by her by following the path she wants to go down and being determined that she is going to be a lawyer even if no one else thinks she capable of it. It has impacted me in a positive way as it has shown that if you work hard and do what you want to do for you and only you, you will be successful.
